I was experimenting with Pyrocat HD for this, decided rather than use my 4x5 field camera I used my Zero Image 4x5 pinhole camera, its very tricky to use close up. I was about 4 inch away from the front flower, I used the 4x5 mask viewer to frame it however its not that accurate close in, I thought I had more below the vase and well in on the darker background but the right flower extended over the edge as you can see in the raw scan version so that need fixing by making a selection from the background, moving that selection to the white overlap and painting the gray back, the rest was pretty easy to edit to my vision.
Raw scan and badly composed image

Edited version and toned in Camera Raw

A note on Pyrocat HD, it gave me a scan that matched my Zone placement and a file that was full of editable tones that made it easy to control in Photoshop.
