What printer for me.

Not sure what you are saying here John. I do get my inks from Cartridge Save, where yours are about 50% more per ml. than mine. I have had my epson P900 printer for quite a while now, and had no problems with it. It is not a replacement for the P600 and has excellent build quality, and turns out excellent prints.
What more can I say? If you are happy with your Canon printer, then that's good. I am more than happy with my Epson. I know you have had problems with Epson printers. And I know people who have had problems with Canon printers. There is no substitute for the darkroom! I still have mine, but having a printer allows me to produce a lot more prints.
I have just emerged from the dark room myself. It get a bit warm in there even with ventilation on!

The problems with the P600 were world wide, at first denied by Epson that there was a problem then all of a sudden they were withdrawn from sale. They were not replaced with another A3 model for what must be close on 2 years.

The problems with mine were in the main miss-feeds and Epson tried to pass that off as not suitable, or paper too thin or damp, were some of the excuses they made to get themselves out of the mire. The major problem though with the feeds was the pick up of the paper was not working properly and the plastic fingers to pull the paper through was prone to break away. Not to mention the jet nozzles kept blocking up.

I spoke to Steve the manager of of the Imaging warehouse who told me their demo-office one had the same problems as me as well os others he had done business with. He had replaced it with the Prograf300 and it was a printer streets ahead of the Epson one. I saw it working and boy was it quiet! The quality of the B&W prints were superb with deep glossy black. . The Epson was returned via DPD who collected it and at the same time delivered the Prograf300 That was around 4-5 years ago now and it has never let me down. The difference in price allowed me to get a full set of dyes on top of the full set included in the box. What I do like is although it came with a programme disc it is connected direct to Canon UK via an internet link so any software updates are automatic.

Looking at the Internet around the time of the printer problems had spread, on one website I remember there were over 3000 complaints and the same intransigence and denials demonstrated to me by Epson. That debacle must have cost Epson a rather large amount of cash.

I have just checked and the replacement for the P600 is the P700 so where your P900 sits in the list it going to be above both
