Walking over the Moors to Top Withens with a Holga

I suppose i should start by saying that if you don't like blurry fuzzy images then Look away....now!!!

With this set of images the challenge was to see if i could use a Holga as a walking companion. I limited myself to just one roll of film for a couple of reasons. Firstly film and developing is expensive and even though i was born and raised in Lancashire (Salford/Manchester) i am a Northerner and have been living in West Yorkshire for twenty five years so some of the Yorkshire "How Much?" Mantra has rubbed off onto me, and to that end being careful with money is now close to my heart.
The other relevant reason is that with just one roll of film to develop and edit (12 negatives) is a refreshing change from my digital exploits where i can literally have to sort through a hundred files or more...anyway see what you think.

The walk i went on is approximately eight miles starting from the center of the village of Haworth leading over Haworth moor and then onto Top Withens derelict and ruined farm house, which is purported to be the inspiration for the home of Heathcliff in Emily Brontes classic novel of unrequited love "Wuthering Heights"

Very site set there Alan, I especially like the figure over the moor. What was your choice of film.
Thank you Ian, the film is Delta 100 developed in DDX, 12 minutes at 20 Deg
The figure coming over the moor was one of those truly serendipitous moment's that happens very fleetingly and you have to react quickly, hence it's a bit more blurry than I would have liked it to be. I had just stopped to take the picture of the view towards the reservoir on Haworth Moor when a lady walking a dog appears over the brow of the hill.

I love these, the 'feel' and the rich tones are so compelling, and so very holga.

One or two of the longer shots seem to just a little bit too off focus though.

Thanks Toby, I know what you mean. I just wish the holga had a slightly better lens, you have to be careful where you position the centre because this is the sharpest part of the lens.

Nice set, I quite like this Lomo warts and all approach , I find it quite refreshing, I have some old 120 cameras off Ebay myself for the same reason, and taking only one roll certainly gets you focused, excusing the pun.
P.S Really like the second one with the figure in it, theres something dark and mysterious about it, quite effective.
