Out for a walk on the factors estate today, early doors.
Always wanted to get these Bull Rushes, but its beyond the fence line that I cant cross, so with my 50mm prime it was out of range, but I have a Tamron that will go up to 200mm.
Managed to get this, nout special but I like it.
Nikon D70s.

I like the contrasting textures and there is nothing out of place. You should be pleased with this image I think.

Thank you, after that I went to town and purchased the Black+White photography magazine issue 313.
Looks great and not a lot of adverts, quality magazine, I will be reading that for a while I would think.

That magazine come out for sale just about the time of the changeover from film to digital for those still mainly using B&W. Once I saw the way it was going I stopped taking it. It was not my thing really. I still like getting my fingers wet in the darkroom (but do also use digital but I don't get the same pleasure.

Only bought a couple of issues and so far I like it.
My reasoning is that I pretty much have settled on black and white photography, I do colour but very few.
I have a Nikon D70s which will only take colour photographs, and I have a D3100 that will do Black and White
Really like using the D70s and it has become the main camera, so most of my photographs are converted to Black and White using NX Studio.
I spend a bit of time doing that in the evenings, after an afternoon out.
The D3100 its a nice camera and very easy to use, it has quite a few more options compared the the D70s.
Because of the age gap between them, NX Studio is formatted differently for each camera ,and choices and options available are quite broad.
Mabey I am wrong, but I have a feeling that subject composition and light is far more important than the camera I am using.
Which in the long run has probably saved me the expense of buying a new up to date camera.
Back to the magazine, what amazes me about it is that it contains articles from the past where the images were taken with equipment that is no where near as good as we have now, but yet they are worthy images.
