This is no Mona Lisa and is a bit too dark for my liking especially the face.

I think that this is a great improvement Trevor, her eyes have come alive. I wonder if the hair on the right side would be better toned down a little.

I much prefer the second lighter version with less grain, .. but although its tastefullty done ,and she is a very attractive lady, I find the shape of her hair on the RH side , and the burnt out highlights dont do her justice, and for me it looks a little bland, sorry, just my personal opinion.

I much prefer the second version too Trevor and agree about the highlights that need toning down.

I find that the light in the first is better balanced, though the grain is too coarse I think for this kind of photo.

I am back to finding the pose really too stiff and obvious, but that is an aesthetic rather than a technical criticism.
