A friend regularly includes me in her ‘meditation’ emails, and in the latest one was a project she had set herself - a project to create bookmarks as presents for friends.
Here is the actual one she had received that gave her the idea:
I think this is a hand-painted bookmark.
But it occurred to me that a b&w tanzaku photo, printed (eg) on thick art paper, could make a really good one.
Here is one of my tanzaku that happened to be on my phone ( and so available to include here).
Something like this could work as a bookmark if on thick, hand torn paper with a ?black or white tassel.
