Well it's been a while since I got out with the camera, managed hour and a half today as part of my church/momento mori project.
More pleased with some than others.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I have to say I was sweating when I'd done because all the wooden 'animals' were pew ends and situated out of easy reach with a tripod, same as the sculptured head, it involved much fannying about with the extended arm on the tripod.
Needless to say after an hour and a half I needed a cup of tea and a sticky bun!
One thing I have noticed whoch doesn't make sense but the final effect for the pictures is slightly different on the web from viewing them through On1Photo raw where I edited them.
Strange, no?

Some very nice records in this series. I particularly like the statues and those shots in which you have managed to bring out the wood grain as well as the carved texture.

thanks John. I think in hindsight I might drop the contrast a little, it's a bit too harsh for me in places.
