Is this a new look forum, I do not have the tool bar at the top of the page to select the Large Format 4x5 forum?. Have we been taken over as all the layout and colors are changed.

For the past 3 - 5 months, the forum software has taken a turn for the worse and has been falling over daily.
On average I have been spending about 3 - 4 hours trawling through countless lines of code and applying fixes here there and everywhere.

The issue is that you fixed one error and then uppops another.

Late last night into the early hours of this morning. I installed a fresh copy of the software (generic out of the box) exported and imported all users and posts.

What you are looking at now is a generic out-of-the-box look with no custom code added.

Keeping the forum running smoothly is not only costly in terms of hosting fees, and domain name charges but it can be time-consuming when it comes to both online and offline maintenance.

I have advised @Martin Henson what I did last night and I am just awaiting his response as to how he wants to move forward.
 
Hi Ian thanks for the heads up, I know it takes a lot of upkeep I ran a board in the early 90's, its not easy, It seems quite responsive now and definitely looks brighter.
 
The forum has now been moved over to Martin's account for him to move forward with his ideas.

The overall maintenance was taking up too much of my time as I have my 5x4.co.uk forum to maintain as well as coding Photoshop Panels

As this is a new server, you may want to clear your browser cache if the DMF forum does not appear to be showing correctly.
 
Ian, many thanks for eight years you have invested in the maintenance of this forum and the previous eight (?) years in its previous incarnation on the Runboard platform.

For me this has been the only forum I regularly visit - has been for years:)
 
I like the new look

I’ve also made a donation as requested by Martin. Hopefully it will keep going
