Yes, there is something odd about the texture of the water where it is flowing vertically down off the top of the weir....

Alan, I can see what you mean about the water. It almost looks like it has been plaited. Not sure why. The image didn't need much processing and the rest of it doesn't seem to have suffered. Weird (no pun intended ).
