Rollei 35 shots

I recently bought a really interesting 35mm camera - Rollei 35 TE, it's a fixed lens, zone focus rangefinder that's about a size of a cigarette box. It fits perfectly in a jacket or trousers pocket, and so I can have it with me basically all the time. An added benefit is that because of it's small size you can squeeze 38 frames from a 36 film roll.
Zone focusing can be a bit tricky at first but it's not that difficult if you keep the aperture at F8 and above. Below are a few recent shots with this camera and tri-x.

Had a look on the web at the camera. Slightly odd looking beast, but we don't buy cameras because they look good, though some people do. Anyway the results speak for themselves. I guess the fixed lens helps with the image quality which looks pretty good to me for 35mm.

That little camera with its Tessar lens is capable of producing super images as you have shown. Enjoy it!

I have always been fond of the Rollei 35, the one I was attracted to was the 35 B model.

Very nice, there's a nice feeling of satisfaction when you capture a good set of photos on film, using film is something I don't do often enough,.... enjoy .

I have the 35S. Odd to use with a left hand wind on and zone focus but the metering is good and the lens excellent. Nice set of images.

Thank you all. I agree, it is an odd beast and a bit quirky to use, but once you set it for a given lighting conditions its quirkiness does not get into the way much, and you really can't beat its portability. The Tessar 40mm lens is excellent indeed, it can flare easily but I can live with it. I am planning to use it interchangeably with my Pentax ME.
