Of its genre for sure, and sort of works. However, I noticed straight away that some of the vertical lines seem to show a 'pixelly' processing artefaction, and the sky seems to look slightly as though it belongs somewhere else. I'm also trying to visualise it without the grey-shadowed matte, which really doesn't do anything for it at all in my view, I'm afraid I just don't see the point.
I like the graphic presentation and the acute angles. I would prefer to see it at a higher resolution but you can't do that here. Some banding in the sky which I find distracting, and my eye is drawn to the black triangle of the lower floor (mid way along the bottom framing), but I like the feel of it, which is something I have been increasingly drawn to of late. Perhaps you could crop the bottom so that triangle is about half its current height. Something about the rendition of the sky appeals to me, possibly the lighter inverted pyramid mirroring the lower floor.
Thanks Glen, Thanks MonoMania. The banding in the sky is there but not that obtrusive on my monitor. I went back to the original (manipulated) file and it's an 8 bit image which probably explains it. Really posted to prompt some comment so thanks for the response both.
Take no notice of me Toby. I appreciate any replies and as I said above, I was expecting a range of comments. I sometimes deliberately post something different to prompt a reaction. It's part of the fun. No it's not black and white but there again, nor is sepia. It's a cool tone mono I suppose.
