Photoshop tools

I cleared my photoshop programme out of my old 'creaking at the hinges' laptop and with the assistance of Adobe customer service, reloaded it into a newer device. It is working as it should with one exception, several of the tools such as the:-

Spot healing brush, Dodge tool, Burn tool, Sponge tool and Clone stamp tool instead of being a circle which can be increased or decreased in size is now a 'cross' which to some extent does the job but is far less precise.

Does anyone know how to get it to revert to a circle

Could it be you have cap lock on

Quite possibly, I never thought of that! DOH!
I have had it before with my desktop 'puter then it oddly reverted to being normal and I never realised why.

Otherwise go to Edit/Preferences/Cursors and check that the settings give you what you want.
