No 44 Revisited

Some long while ago, I did an occasional image of what I considered to be interesting local buildings. No 44 was one of them. Recently, it has caught my attention again because it has matured some since I last photographed it, having got a little more dilapidated and rather more overgrown. With this type of image it is almost impossible to get away from the street clutter so I took two shots, the second closing right in to just show the facade.

On reflection, I like the first image best showing the property in its immediate environs, but oh how I wish the figure in the top right window in the second image had been there when I took the first image. Regretably, although I pride myself in looking really closely at my subjects before I make the image, I simply didn't see the figure in the window.

French street clutter is even uglier and more intrusive than our own, which tips it to the second for me, though I otherwise like the pulled back viewpoint. The figure intrigues.

It's the second for me as well Helen. The first thing that came to mind though when I looked at these was thank goodness I don't have to look after that garden.

Thanks guys. Yes its a pain the way there is so much clutter in French towns and even the countryside. The whole darn country seems to be covered in poles and telephone / electric cables. Its like living under a spiders web.
