Hi everyone from Hay on Wye,
I've decided to return to B&W after many years taking digital Landscapes - virtually all in colour. As I do my own printing I recently resurrected Print Tool and QTR and my good-old Epson 3800
. Like others I find creating profiles and linearisation using the QTR tools tedious and was drawn to Ian's U tube video demonstrating Richard Boutwells Black and White Mastery method. Subsequently I then found Martin's videos showing Contrast Grading and decided to download and try his method. Its early days; as everything in this game it takes time and practice but the signs (for some images) are reasonable. Here is a recent image using Martins method; I look forward to participating in the forum.
