I have received an E mail from the above advising me that they have just started distributing a new Kentmere 200 iso B&W film. The information with the E mail suggests that it is designed to give a higher contrast than the others. It is reasonably prices at £5.70 per 36 exp. None of the usual suspects has any stock but you can order direct from Ilford. They also have a 120 and sheet film as well. Bulk 35 mm is also mentioned but there is none in at stock at present.
I have a lot of B&W film that has to be used first so it may be a while before I need to test any.

Not doubting Ilford's marketing, but I am surprised there is a need for another b&w film. I can see it is £2.50 or so cheaper per roll compared to HP5, but considering the other fixed costs, developing, scanning and printing does that saving make enough of a difference ?

Kyle McDougal tried some and found it similar to, but not quite as good as, more expensive FP4/HP4 offerings from Ilford. He seems to think it is placed to compete with the likes of fomopan.
