(I deliberately blurred it a tad because I think it adds to the overall effect)

The actual skeleton is a pretty-well known regular feature at the Melton Cattle Market, and is allegedly the most commonly photographed part of it:). But this was my first attempt.

I actually wanted to take some pictures for use in the 'ghost' project, but thought that it was worthy of a shot in its own right:)._MG_8434 Look into my eyes FRAMED.jpg
 
Trevor - Thanks for commenting, and it is all a matter of personal preferences, but in this case I like it as it is:), especially as the hood IS in focus:)

Keith - that is the response I was trying to achieve. When HM saw it her immediate reaction was 'It's horrible!', so I thought I was on the right, lines:)

I do feel as though there is more to be had from this, an ideal subject for some not too serious tinkering o_O
A sepia tint, a zoom burst, or totally soften it loosing all fine detail, or maybe one of those cracked leather overlay effects, just a thought.

It is quite well done, but to me it looks just like what it is - plastic!

However, I am quite sure that faded into one of your ghostscapes it will be very effective!
 
Tim, thanks. Yes any non-serious treatment could be fun with this one. I'll keep an eye open for ideas.

Toby, yes it it plastic which, as you indicate, should be fine for my main purpose - to get shots for inclusion in a 'ghost' shot.

I had hoped to get a picture of one hand pointing a bony finger but the hand was fused into one piece. And that illustrates that any picture of the skeleton alone is likely to have problems.

But I still like this particular one:)
 
Yes Chris I like this as it is. It is all about seeing and pushing your own vision. It is exactly the type of image and vision I appreciate.

Yep, I agree with that totally, freedom of artistic expression and all that, although there's always the crit that goes with it :D

Adverse crit is fine with me especially if there is some form of reasoning with it eg as with Trevor and Tony's comments above.:)
