I do several small photo trips in my part of the world every year and will often stop at cemeteries. This was taken at a taken at one that has not been used for over 100 years. It served the mining town of Phoenix BC - which not longer exists. I cannot help but think about the very difficult lives that these people must have lived - majority came from Norway and Ireland to work in a mine that flourished in the late 1800s but completely disappeared by 1920. A local historical society maintains the grounds.
