Leaving San Vitale

I am currently enjoying a holiday in the north-east of Italy. This was taken in Ravenna a few days ago. Have at it.

Well I like it, and we love Italy in our house.
The photograph, yes I like the fact that you can see only half of the persons, due to the shadow.
The man is the mystery for me, what is he carrying , another child, a loaf of bread, and I like a bit of that mystery in photographs.
I must say before I look silly, I am very amateur when it comes to all aspects of photography, so its hard for me to critique.
If it were my photograph, I would crop out the sky
Sky's really bother me now, simply because I have a very difficult time getting them to be attractive in my own photographs, especially on film photographs.
I think its very very good.

I like that a lot Glenn. Something different where you've captured a moment with interesting light and just enough detail in the shadows to avoid the subjects being totally isolated. Nice shot.

Please don't undersell yourself, I hadn't even noticed the brightness of the sky. Thanks for the feedback. I deliberately under exposed it so there my be something to recover there. I'll go look.

If I remember correctly, the man was carrying a baby and holding his daughter's hand with right hand across his body. I waited for it, looking directly at the scene and ignoring the viewfinder as I had set up the composition and focus beforehand.
