Late Afternoon Clouds - Locquirec

This photograph was made back in May 2022 into the light, looking across the bay at Locquirec with the Pointe du Corbeau in the foreground and the headland in the distance, of the Pointe Runglaz. I think the sky has rendered nicely, but the border around the land has a slight halo around it which appeared when I exported the image to this site. Strange because it isn't on the image on my computer. Anyway I suppose you can't expect too much from and image taken with an iPhone 12

Now there 's drama for you. Great image Helen. I might have gone for a tiny bit more contrast in the land elements - but that's me.

Very nice Helen, although I might be tempted to crop just some foreground. I seems a little cluttered in these eyes.

I find the sky very interesting. It looks as though the iphone's 'computational enhancements' (HDR) might have had some influence, but whether or not this is the case, the sky has an appealing painterliness. I actually think I'd be inclined to let it go darker, in fact the whole thing.

Thanks for your thoughts Toby, welcome as always. I have a rather darker version of this image and the sky does look very imposing. But on balance, I prefer the more delicate sky which to me represents the day and how I visualised the scene.
