That is to be expected if you have bright sun or even bright cloud and if you use a film faster than FP4+ and ant to use a lens wide open you may find yourself struggling. I have a light weight tripod, not the best for stability and on the odd occasion when I need to get the image as sharp as possible it can be useful.

In fact many people who are disappointed by the performance of a particular lens when they use a tripod it shows exactly what the lens is capable of producing. Although this particular tripod is a lightweight the central column has a hook on the bottom and I have loop made from a thick zip-tie so I can put in in the hook and stand on the zip tie the tripod is as steady as my Manfrotto 55 which must be about 6 times a heavy or possibly more.

What I am trying to say is, with a slow film in your camera and a tripod you can use as slow a film as you wish

I have a light weight and a heavy weight tripod, never really used them, but I have every intention of doing so.
Once I did go to Rattray Head light house and I used it then, and it worked well for me that day.
But that was with a DSLR.
So this coming week I will get the tripod and use it where I live.

Been going through my film shots again.
And I just sent two away yesterday for processing.
Did a wee bit of processing, so quite happy with it., wish the sky was better.

I am still waiting for my films to be processed, so during this wait I have a lot of time to think.
Cameras and film, yes they have become my main hobby over the last couple of years.
Over this period I have taken lots of photographs, done lots of reading and joined a club.
Now I want to go into film photography, and the first thing I am finding out is I will have to be patient.
I have a 35mm SLR and a medium format folder camera which will take 6 x 6 images. With these, I want to produce some meaningful photographs. This I realise means slowing down and actually doing photography in a far different way than I do at present.
So I think there will be less photographs, and less random stuff within my content.
The DSLRs I will keep, but I may add some analogue cameras to my collection.
My SLR camera has proved its self, I am still not sure about the medium format camera, if it works, and if not what will I do about it.
I still have lots to learn, time will tell.
