Yes. like this, its a mass of shapes, arches and chairs and the two Policemen? wandering across the background, and the fact that everything is wet actually adds to the overall effect, works for me.

I love the wet look but what I really like is the relationship between the arches and the chair backs, it's a pity you lost the top row of arches though but that's just me being picky.

Looks like Italy to me, in which case the ?policemen are Carabinieri.

Why do Carabinieri always go about in two's?

re the policemen: they are either State Police, Carabinieri or Municipale (http://excuseme-whereis.com/Police_San_Marco.html)
