... which prompts me to ask what other camera club themes are in the offing where you are?

For the coming season ours are Point of view (images from unusual angles), Intentional camera movement and Silhouettes.

Ours is Power and a Different Perspective.

Programme not yet announced for mine but has been having informal monthly themes for summer.

The two so far are:

- shadows
- motion (frozen or blurred)

It's some years since I was a member of my local club and my competition files have long since been dispersed to other files but from memory, a difficult letter of the alphabet was selected to make people think out of the box. The first image below titled "Zig Zag" was prompted by the letter "Z". The theme for the second image was "Time". The first was always a mono image. The second was originally in colour.

I like the zig zig, it is a photograph that makes you look , the time counting down, very clever indeed.
