Returned to this spot a few times because there had been reports of Salmon returning and jumping the waterfall. No luck so far though but I've always taken a few shots when I'm there.

Nice views, but crunchy in the processing, especially the second, which seems so oversharpened that it hurts slightly. The first anyway works better for me; if that processing could be tamed it would have a lovely feel about it.

I think you are right about the second shot Toby. The light was very contrasty and in metering for the mid tone/highlights, I ended up with some very heavy shadows. Trying to compensate in post has made it look a bit crunchy. Not too unhappy with the first one though.
