I was wondering what everyone might make of this. It is so different, well I think it is anyway, that I couldn't think of a title for the image apart from SCD. Enough waffle, here it is.

I like that mysterious style, quite ambiguous. SCD? Sudden cardiac death?? Have no idea how this is made. I like it even more when I turn it 90 degrees to the right. Always appreciate a well done minimalism.

Nearly right guys. It is actually sand on the beach taken through the surface ripple. I was quite fascinated by the way the ripples acted like lenses and distorted the sand under the water.

All of the image including the shadow area is of the sand under the surface ripple of the water. I found the difference between the two areas striking. The patterns, as mentioned earlier are caused by the ripples acting like lenses and distorting the way some parts of the sand are seen. It is more noticeable in the shadow area for some reason.

The potential is so well spotted for an image and it does work. Maybe, square crop but that is only my opinion.
