Not seen this before, Reg.

I can see that it might be of interest but I'm struggling a bit to work out how it might help to improve future photos.

Can anybody help?

To try and answer my own question.....

..I have posted some images recently that people have said are not in focus. Maybe it would show if I hadn't focussed at all or not adjusted focus from the previous shot (I use back button focussing - BBF)

?but then .... with BBF it might show which focus point had been used but not necessarily the point which had been focussed on?

Edit - just had a quick look at FAQs and it doesn't work when using or 'focus and recompose'

I nearly always use focus and recompose anyway- mostly cos its what Im used to but also cos I find it fiddly to change focus points and can bet I will forget to reset it before next shot

i haven't used it but i thought it might be useful to check if the camera was focusing where the photographer thought it was.
