Well by saying harsh do you mean to dark, that's the trouble using effects, they do seem to go over the top, I prefer my original photograph were I have complete control

Yes, the original is better to my eye. Oh, I'm getting auld! I used to enjoy playing with Nik filters and the like, but I'm at the stage where I prefer minimal editing, maybe a little exposure control and dust removal if needed. I see nothing wrong with that original, in fact it is damned good.

I never use it normally, when you get bored, lol, you try owt as we say in Gods County
