Lovely casual portrait, and I realise that if it's a loved one or someone you know ,it's a personal thing , but just thinking aloud here , I would be tempted to crop some of the 2 dark areas bottom left and right, and maybe bring out some more hair detail top right of her head to fill in a little of the dark triangle top right.

I feel that this lovely portrait suffers a bit from excessive processing. The inky blackness around her head and shoulders just doesn't look right, and it all looks very 'digital', at once oddly smooth yet also artefacted.

I have been experimenting with a couple of conversion methods and decided to post this to see what came back.Your points are well taken altough the artifacts are due to a small portion of a much larger image being used in addition being a low res image in the first place.....thanks for the feed back....
