Originally colour but converted to IR using CC. A bit of sharpening, darkening the foreground and the distant bridge. Nikon D700 with the ever useful 28/105 AFD zoom. The old bridge is the one in the distance. The new bridge carries the A82 up the full length of Loch Ness

What an interesting picture. So many dynamics and movements. I wonder why IR? When I looked at it before reading, I thought, "Wow such a cool subject and composition, but why does it look so strange (crunchy)?"

Why IR?

The IR treatment was a choice because of the weather conditions on the day. Bright but without any direct sunlight but with the IT treatment it lightened the foliage on the trees and I think this gives it the impression of sunlight.

I see. What an interesting composition.
