A timeless feel in this image. 150 years ago or just now it would look the same.

Do you find that you have to works on these in post or are they pretty much out of camera?

I'd like to develop and scan myself at home but for now I'm using a reliable lab. I do very minimal adjustments to the scan - mostly just minor exposure and contrast and then if I feel the photo might benefit from toning I apply a split tone using Exposure software.

Your observation about timeless feel is spot on - that's what I am trying to achieve with this camera, perhaps a "lost in time" mood but not too nostaglic.

Thanks for your interest.

I might have been tempted to crop this on each side slightly just to remove some of the fall off in exposure and some of the distortion. None the less, there is a nice run through to the horizon down the centre that holds this together nicely. However, I just know you're going to ask what is the point of having a panoramic view camera if you're going to bin some of it and part of me agrees.

Much of the attraction of simpler, or older, cameras is the character they impart to a photograph so I would gently suggest the fall-off in exposure is desirable rather than a detractor.

Thanks for your thoughts which I don't disagree with. I'm just experimenting with a camera that has no lens, and no viewfinder either for that matter. I'm enjoying going back to fairly basic photographic technology and getting images that I would not have considered worthwhile with my Fuji or Olympus digital cameras. Although they would make it a lot easier and quicker!
