I do like the NIK plugins and may well upgrade, one of the few Ive got that I actually use, (and always was interested in Fotolab elite but a bit expensive...)

I just received the DXO notification email today. Joanne, have you upgraded yet? Any new features? I hope they fixed the bugs.

I don't have the Nik Collection because I only use DxO PhotoLab Elite with FilmPack and ViewPoint, which does most of what the Nik plugins do from within one integrated app including RAW processing.

the only plug in I use with any regularity is the tonal contrast in Color Efex, the rest I very rarely use, but that one plug in is very useful. Is there something equal in the flimpak?

As far as I can tell, the contrast palette from PhotoLab is enhanced with highlight, midtone and shadow contrast when you add FilmPack. But, since I installed FilmPack from day one, I can't say for sure.

I downloaded and installed the Trial version of Nik 3 just to check it out. The only significant difference in this new version is the addition of "Perspective Effex"which is included in the NIK bundle. It's very similar to DXO's "ViewPoint" digital perspective correction software which I have but never use.
So unless DXO can convince me they've improved the algorithms and/or ironed out the bugs in the previous, I won't be purchasing it.
