Ah i see. Use a wider angle?
The corded controls are about £4 on ebay as are the IR remotes.

I don't have a wide range of lenses, only the two kit lenses that came with the camera, neither of which are wide angle, plus a 'nifty fifty'.

Yes the £4 one is what I have lost, and it was very simple (but effective) and I was thinking that maybe I needed to get one with a timer delay that would be more expensive.
