I thought that my first post would be an infrared wildlife/landscape image.

I have 2 IR converted cameras, this was taken with a Panasonic lumix Gx7 converted to 590nm IR (Super color) then processed into BW. Taken in September of last year in Yellowstone NP. 2015_09_13_Yellowstone-10094-Edit1000.jpg
 
Yes, an extraordinary image and there is good detail in the buffalo's (is it a buffalo?) fur/skin. This might stir our other IR photographers to post an image or two.

What a first post Hali, it is a cracking image and I like your processing.
 
A most unusual choice of subject for IR Hali, but it works for me.

Great picture, I love IR photography, these days I don't capture much digitally as I prefers film but I think I will dust down my Olympus IR camera and do a few shots , good first post and enjoyable as different from the norm

Thank you so much. It's a great compliment to me that it would inspire you or anyone to get out and shoot IR

Tim and everyone reading if I may let me tell you a little story, this image Hali has posted and Tims comments brought back a memory.
I was driving through an ex coal Mining village named Crofton in Wakefield. There is a well known road side cafe named "The Redbeck" in the village, as we (my wife and I ) drove close to the the aforementioned cafe I turned to my wife and told her I had just seen an elephant on the road. I was abruptly told to keep quiet and stop exaggerating.
I stopped the car did a 180 and drove back from whence we came and there by the road was my Elephant, "There I told you so" I chirped I was told to hurry up or else we will be late for tea.
My daughter who was only a kid then shook her head and said " You don't see many of them round hear"

That's an interesting story Alan and a new one for me. I've lived just down the road from the Redbeck for some 36 years and let me tell you that in the 'old' days it was a notorious hangout for ne'er-do-wells and all other sorts of low life, thankfully it has been turned round and has been a well respected establishment for some time. It had a contemporary called 'Redhouse' which was originall a truck stop just off the roundabout at the junction of the A1/A638, about 6 miles from Redbeck, and that also has been reinvented with a well-frequented family McD.

Keith, wife wife's Aunt had a little newsagents shop/house on Rutland drive off the main Doncaster road, so I have spent some time over the years visiting Crofton and the Crofton arms, as well as the Redbeck on the odd occasion for an emergency breakfast... I am sure there is another Redbeck truck stop off the M62 Jcn 36 on the road to Howdon, I used to pass it when on my way to a little airfield called Breighton. I would spend many a happy day photographing vintage aircraft there.

Small world Alan, for three years, 1976-79 I lived adjacent to the old RAF Pollington airfield just south of Selby. I wondered why I hadn't heard of the things going on at Breighton until I just looked at their website and found it didn't get going until the late eighties. It's pity that you have to be a Museum Member at £30 a year even to visit, sadly my pension doesn't run to such frivolities, film at £5 a roll is enough for me for now. :(
