Does This Count?

An interesting image,and very effective,it looks almost like the owl has been superimposed onto a 1920s image of a woman, if you get my drift, but I'm not suggesting thats what you have done, :), like it.

Thanks. It was actually done by adding noise to the photo, then using a layer mask to bring the owl back
 
What makes this for me is only the owl looking at the camera. Well done.

That's real tough but it made double figures. Could I suggest a crop, take a slice from the top to leave about 1/3 of the person's head and take a slice from the left hand side to remove the bright bits of hair.

It does looks superimposed because the own does not share the grain with the rest of the image. That kills it for me. The grain is nice actually and the toning works very well.
 
I understand what you mean, but I was trying for a certain effect which might have impact at certain exhibition judgings - it didn't work!
