Cusworth Park Doncaster

Lovely images. Did you ever get around to making a review of the ZeroImage 2000 Ian? I've been looking at images produced on this camera and some look really impressive (yours) and some look very soft. I'd be interested to hear your comments about the camera.

As far as Pinhole cameras go, the Zero Image 2000 is a nice box which is well made and finished off. As the film passes over the opening it rides across some felt so you have to be aware that unless you want to see this in the final image, you will have to crop it out.

The quality from any pinhole camera is basically down to the quality of the pinhole itself. I have made pinholes from coke tins, yes they work but the image is not as well defined as a commercially made pinhole such as the the Zero.

I used to have a Noon 5x4 pinhole camera and that produced quite nice well defined images.

One thing to remember is that contrary to what you read, a lot of pinhole images have undergone some form of post processing so don't be disappointed if yours do come out not as expected.

The images above of Cusworth are more or less untouched apart from cropping out the felt I was referring to as these were taken when I was out with @Keith Haithwaite when i was testing the Kodak D23

Thanks Ian. When you say felt needs cropping out, do you mean it's just a fuzzy frame edge, rather than sharp?
