COMPARING FUJIFILM NEOPAN 100 ACROS II TO ORIGINAL ACROS.

Interesting to see an individuals honest appraisal backed up by some real-world tests Ian, unfortunately it will do nothing to drain the swirling puddle inhabited by the conspiracy theorists and other woebegones and already I hear the sound of the wolves tuning up.;)

Whatever the conspiracy theory Its good news for people who shoot and love the film process, When Fuji announced the demise of this film it was a sad day for thousands of people that love this film and another nail in analog photography’s coffin, to see it coming back, and does not matter a jot who is making it etc it’s a big thumbs up to Fuji for listening to its loyal users.

Acros is unbelievably one of the few films I have never used, so I'm eager to have a go. However I either need a bigger fridge or stop buying food...

It's a really nice film, Alan, especially for long exposure photography, no reciprocity failure up to 2 mins, after that just add half the time, a great film for pinhole photography as well, as an example if I had a metered exposure time of 4 mins using say Ilford HP5, then added the reciprocity time for that film the exposure would be 1 hour 5mins, with Acros the time would be 6 mins

The long exposure properties are appealing. I am not too fussed about hanging around for lengthy exposures, however its the inadvertent camera shake that concerns me...

(Not about film as such. )

Re conspiracy theories .... I've nearly finished reading a book called "The skeptik's guide to the universe", by Steven Novella +??.

One of the most interesting books I've read for a long time and - for me - the section on conspiracy theories is one of the best.

Not for you if you believe in 'The umbrella man' (re JFK) conspiracy, homeopathy, mind-reading, ghosts, etc (or maybe it IS for you if you do:D:D)

I very much believe in homeopathy because of the evidence of my own eyes. I particularly dislike skeptics who are anti-homeopathy so I won't be looking at it.
