As part of trying to get the hang of using flash I also tried out some extension tubes tht I was given ages ago.
Pleased to say that I didn't panic but at one point I couldn't remove the extension tube from the lens.
Turns out tht (and there are no instructions) that a little knurled 'nut' on the extension tube is NOT a locking nut that you turn, but a slider that you pull towards the camera to move a locking pin and this allows removal of the extension ring.
Just thought that it might save you or (if you are not a cheapskate like me
) someone you know, some grief.
It seems that some people have ruined lenses becasue they didn't know about the 'slider'.
