I know not everyone is a fan of infra red photos but I seeing the ones you have posted has awakened my interest and I like these. I think the IR effect has really given the images a lift. Nice job.

Yes Helen its a love hate relationship with Infrared, thanks for the comments.

Interesting set. I occasionally use a PS generated IRR effect but I find that it doesn't work for everything (for me). I like these but I'm not sure about 4 and 5. Good to experiment though.

Hi John I normally shoot this camera with its 14 to 30mm lens on, it seems better suited to Ir. I changed the lens the last time i used it to my 45-150 and forgot as I left the 14-30 at home . This lens 45-150 is not a good size lens as I had trouble with a hot spot right in the centre and I think thats why some shots dont stand out as much as the others.

On the brighter shots its ok but when I had deep shadows a horrible hotspot was showing.

You learn something every day. I hadn't considered that IR is lens sensitive. Makes sense when you think about it. I guess the coating on some lenses will not perform properly at IR frequencies - and some will. Interesting.
