Well not exactly, this was taken for a B&W college project many years ago, pre digital, using a Nikon FM but cannot remember what lens or film I used, or what chemicals I used to develop the film or original print, but it was a Rollei enlarger I had at the time.
Its actually my long suffering missus with a curtain wrapped around her head :)

Its nice, but looks almost as though its had some kind of 'glamour' softening applied in pp, which I guess is unlikely given that its a film print.
 
Well I scanned the original negs, which is what I do with all the films I develop as I don't have a darkroom anymore, and then I spice the images up a little using Picasa, which is a free basic editor, as what I know about Photoshop and Lightroom etc, isn't worth knowing, and the original print was a little harsh, so yes I did use the softening tool to give it a more "romantic" look, as I'm an old softy at heart , and it also got rid of a few of the lines around her eyes, and I'm safe saying that as she doesn't read anything on this forum.
 
Yes, love this - holds the (my) attention and makes me wonder what the rest of the face is like.

This was taken many moons ago using film, my wife has now turned 60 and says she won't be doing that pose again, even with me using an editing suite like Photoshop !:D
 
Don't be too sure about that :) , an equivalent photo now could be really good.

My wife tells me that women wearing a burkah often have fantastic eye make up, so also an opportunity for her to show off her make up skills.

And you could make it an Arab couple:

PS And if you're feeling really brave you could try the eye make up too,:D:eek:

Now there's a thought , I'll put it to my better half, might be fun if she agrees, as for trying the eye make up, I don't think it would suite me as I have a beard ;)
