Hi, I'm Steve and I have been shooting Black and White for years. I just found this forum and look forward to seeing what everyone posts. I mainly shoot Nature stuff but anything that catches my eye is fair game. Thanks for allowing me to join.

Thank you. It was taken on the Whitney Portal Road to the trail head to climb Mt. Whitney. Not that I would begin to try to climb it though. This is about the last spot before the trail that gives a view of the mountain. As you can see it's not terribly dramatic.

The eastern slope of the sierras is a photographer's dream land. Centered in Bishop, in a two hour radius there are scads of famous sights to shoot for us landscape types. For me it rivals the canyon lands of Utah/Arizona.

Had to look that up but it looks like a nice part of the world.

Seems a large number of folks here are in the UK, I post a lot on Rangefinder Forum and as most of the folks there are US it never dawned on me to pay attention to where home is for most. I'll be more specific about the whereabouts of my shots in the future.
