Tollesbury Salt Marshes

Great sets , I used to live a few miles from this place many years ago and took my son's out to the Lighthouse ship on a few occasions which was some sort of Hostel/ Sea cadet HQ, an unusual but interesting place.

These are very good, Ian, great detail, nice strong tonality and a fine sense of place.

I was a few miles up the coast, on the river Alde, at the same time.

When I was running the UKLFPG, Helen and I organised a weekend workshop to Maldon and spent a very pleasant time, shooting LF, including at Tollesbury and Pin Mill. We could easily have spent a few more days exploring the area but, at the time, there were other things to do.

Nice pictures.

I've visited Pin Mill a few times to capture some images of the derelict boats, but each time its been at low tide. Whereas the images have been OK I think the next time will be at high tide so I can blur the water moving around the boats. Better planning is needed, at least tides are predictable unlike the weather. Maldon is a nice town but didn't seem to offer as many photographic opportunities, perhaps I need to try again and see more creatively.

Most definitely. But you need to explore and dig around, there is a lot of stuff that is not necessarily obvious
