St Nicholas, Swineshead

Out and about through Bedfordshire villages initially planning on visiting an English Heritage location which was unfortunately closed. Came across St Nicholas' which combined with some favourable light resulted in a few images in and around the Church. I've not fully concluded on the ADXX on the gates in the final image although I suspect it means AD Yr 2000 although they do look very weathered for just 24years old.

As usual nice set of images. I think you are right about the ADMM although you say they look a bit new, but ADMM was very nearly a quarter of a century ago. Maybe the gates were already old with the ADMM added into them in 2000, or perhaps they have just been made with poor quality wood.
