Melincourt Falls

Steve, this composition is nice, but it feels chaotic, mainly because it's in black and white. I personally find it very difficult to shoot medium-distance landscapes in black and white. My words are meant to be constructive. Cheers, Scott.

Well, no matter what anyone else say, to my mid this is a stunning image. The only problem is that it is far too small to appreciate the detail. I would want to print this to about 40" x 50" :)

Thanks, yes there is a lot going on. I have a few better shots of this in 6x6 (shot on a short telephoto using a TLR) but of just the waterfall which is nicer to look at, the stones are like huge slabs of carved coal - I will post it if I ever manage to scan the negs....

Thanks Joanna I am glad you like it for a 400asa 35mm neg the file is pretty good. I am not sure it would stand that sort of enlargement maybe if you stood a sensible distance away and closed your eyes slightly it would be OK:)
