This is a capture from my light meter app - the HP5 film is still in the FED-2 camera, first through that camera since I got it. It’s reportedly freshly rebuilt and it looks and feels like they did the job right

Hopefully all works out properly and my negatives look like this

Thanks Glenn

That’s inside the wrecked maintenance shop of an old train yard
Truly liminal as the space is condemned and scheduled to go

I need to get back in there before it gets demolished

Thanks Tommy

I have a special case for the mobile phone

At the camera lens area there’s a threaded journal where I can screw in a step ring so I can thread on any of the filters I have for the little Leica-type rangefinder camera (FED-2)

I’d tried the range of colors - that might have been the yellow or orange - it makes a difference, and with the mobile phone app I can see in real time how filter color and exposure values can/will affect the outcome

In the app there is a long list of film types for the app to emulate as I test the light etc

Very handy

Can I ask which app you use for the film types to emulate with different filters ?
Thanks

The app is called Viewfinder

It will emulate film types

I use a special cellphone case for the use of the actual filters that I run on my cameras, via step rings etc

I gave it a go and downloaded it. Not sure I could see a great deal of difference between the different film types although that may have been my expectations (often an issue apparently !) The ability to measure light in EV was good as it aligned to my Rolleicord well as does the square format. I also tried the apps color filtering and didn't find the orange / red filter darkened blue skies that much. All in all fair for the £4.99 cost.

I use it with the actual filters that I use for image capture on the camera, if I am metering light, it’s through the filter that’ll get screwed to the camera lens
