Ilford FP4+ 120 rated at 400 by mistake

I just realised that I rated a whole roll of Ilford FP4 at 400ISO. How much should I increase dev time for this? I'm using a Jobo CPE2 and normal dev time is 8mins 30 secs at 21C using 510 Pyro.

Your pushing the film by underexposing which will increase contrast and grain, I would try adding around 2 mins on to your normal time giving a new time of around 10 mins

Thanks Martin. Unfortunately, only just seen your recommendation and I used an Ilford data sheet, which mentioned doubling the dev time, at least when using Microphen, so I developed for 17 mins at 21C. I’m actually quite pleased with the results. Yes, the negs were fairly dense and contrasty but after scanning and post production, I’ve managed to get some half decent images.
I think this is what attracted me back to film, the mistakes, the not knowing until you hang the negs up to dry.

Glad you sorted it , many so called street shooters love to push film for it contrasty gritty look and feel
