Clean silver residue from fixer storage

How do I remove the black silver residue from the inside of my fixer bottle prior to mixing and storing fresh fixer. Thanks
 
I don't think there is an easy way, but on the other hand I have found that what is already there will not affect the new fixer. Actually physically being able to remove it will probably be the only way.
Just a wild guess but the bleach used with colour film processing could be tried - I don't know.

Thanks for your reply John, I don't use colour chems so couldn't try that. It may not affect the fresh fixer but just concerned it may start to break up in time and contaminate the fresh fixer and damage the emulsion.
