Today was a bright day with plenty of sunshine so I dragged out the bulk loader and rolled 10 exposures and headed into town.
I never had my light meter so had to rely in the internal meter. It wasn't until I had exposed about 8 frames that I had realised that the ISO was set to 400.
With that...
From the local charity shop a few weeks ago, I took a chance and bought a Zenit B 35mm camera. Well if I am honest, it was been sold with a 200mm lens which caught my eye rather than the camera but the sales assistant wasn't to keen on splitting them. I offered £10 for the pair and we were both...
Kodak D23 is such a simple and extremely cheap developer to make ( just 2 components) and I find it works very nice with Ilford HP5 35mm.
I mixed this up on July 17th 2021and my exercise today was to see if it was still active.
Camera: Pentax SpotMatic SP-1000
Film: Ilford HP5
Developer: Home...
Knowing how the Kodak D23 is a soft developer which I like, I wanted to test it with HP5 using the Neewer LED panel as the light source.

Three exposures of the same scene with three different ISO ratings, (400,800,1600)
The lighting was an LED panel set to daylight positioned just the left of the setup.
Exposure:
The base exposure was taken from a grey card...
I built a custom workstation for bulk loading film using a Leica AFLOO film winder and Leica ABLON film trimming template. Questions or comments welcome.
I've had a couple of rolls of Rollei infrared film (135 format) in my freezer for a few months, have acquired a Hoya R72 filter, and just purchased a Sunpak 622 Pro strobe. Today I was the lucky winning bidder on an IR head for the strobe.
The plan is to shoot IR in low-light situations à la...
All shots taken on Ilford FP4 shot at ISO 100 and developed in D76 1+1. The first two are taken at Holywood on the South Shore Belfast Lough. The third is a massive pile a short walk from home, and the last one was taken in the garden..... minimal p&p as the lens is naturally contrasty.
