    Pewter looking images

This is not something that I see here but in photo competitions I see what can only be described as pewter like images, sometimes in landscapes usually when a big stopper or similar has been used but often in low key male portraits.

Anyone any idea how it is done.

I suspect that it is a plug in of some kind as it appears often. I would like to try the technique. I think that I will ignore it soon after learning how to use it.

Do you have any examples you could point us to?

Not real sure Ken. It could be something along the lines of a dragonizer action, to simple slider adjustments in Silver Efex. If you want, you can simply put in a link pointing to the image after removing this one so it is here for others to see.

Thank you Andrez Dragan is the answer. It seems that he is the flavour of the moment in camera clubs.
