Having recently purchased a box of Hahnemuhle Baryta FB 350gsm and printed a BW image I found the paper to have a very strong magenta cast, even its base white with no printing done displays this cast.

Luminous Landscapes test highlights this problem

So before you buy and as suggested try a sample pack first or you might be very disappointed with the cast it produces, I for one will not buy any more until this problem has been cured

I tried a box of this a year ago, no cast on mine but I felt the paper inferior to their FineArt Baryta

I've a box of their A4 Photo Rag Baryta, which is quite neutral with a good white and Dmax. Gordon

Sorry - I see now from the Hahnemuhle web site that FineArt Baryta is not the same as Baryta FB. I certainly wouldn't want to use a magenta-cast paper.

I've also been using A3+ and A4 HARMAN GLOSS FB Al. It's a baryta paper, and seems fine for mono, although a bit too warm with the supplied profile so I impose a correction curve. As it's running out I see that Harman has ganged up with Hahnemuhle, and "the HARMAN GLOSS FB Al range has now been enhanced and re-introduced under the HARMAN by Hahnemühle brand", eg HARMAN by Hahnemühle Gloss Baryta. But the link on the Hahnemuhle web site is dud, and I can't find out if it's identical to the older paper. I've emailed both companies to ask.

All this does make me wonder if they are struggling to support users at the moment.
